Joanna Foster is an actor, playwright, singer, and composer who has worked extensively in theatre and television in Britain. She has worked regularly for the BBC and played leading roles at The Royal Shakespeare Company and The Royal National Theatre.
Joanna's new play The Inn of the Dawn Horse based on the life and work of the artist Leonora Carrington - after successful rehearsed readings at Soho Theatre in May 2019 and Chats Palace in October 2022 - is currently projected for a full production at The Arcola in 2025

Following in the footsteps of Bobby Mcferrin and Sweet Honey in the Rock, Anima take acapella singing onto another level, weaving their voices together with such skill that it is hard to know where one voice ends and another begins.
The rich diversity of these four actor/singers ranges from acting with The Royal Shakespeare Company to singing jazz, folk and pop and performing at The Royal Opera House.
